Hickel Auction Service is the authorized selling agent for consigned equipment. The consignor remains the equipment owner. We arrange the sale for an agreed percentage commission and administer the stated inspection, included guarantee, qualifying refund and return-transport commitments.
One process. Protection for both sides.
For the buyer
Your signed Equipment Purchase Agreement records the equipment, condition and agreed charges. Your payment is matched to the correct invoice and stock number. You have three business days to inspect after confirmed delivery, with issue reporting and qualifying return rights governed by the written terms.
For the consignor
The accepted price, buyer, equipment and payment reference are documented. The signed account instructions define when settlement to the seller is due and how any timely reported issue is handled, giving both parties a clear record of the agreed process.
Funds are handled under the transaction-specific Dedicated Client Trust Account instructions. Hickel Auction Service coordinates the marketplace process and handles its stated warranty, return transport and qualifying refund obligations.
Who does what?
The consignor / equipment owner
The consignor owns the equipment and authorizes Hickel Auction Service to sell it on their behalf. The purchase-specific Equipment Purchase Agreement identifies the owner and consignment authority.
The authorized selling agent
Hickel Auction Service arranges and confirms the sale under its consignment authority for an agreed percentage commission. We inspect and test equipment and administer the stated guarantee, optional warranty, qualifying refunds and return transport.
The account-holding entity
The purchase-specific Equipment Purchase Agreement and invoice identify the California Dedicated Client Trust Account holder, its authority to receive and hold funds, exact payment beneficiary, release conditions and dispute process. The beneficiary may differ from the consignor and Hickel Auction Service Use only the verified instructions for your purchase. The account name alone does not certify independent escrow licensing, legal trust status or deposit insurance.
The buyer
You review and sign the completed agreement, verify wire instructions by phone, and inspect the equipment after delivery.
Know the terms before your offer is accepted.
The listing and Equipment Purchase Agreement identify Hickel Auction Service as authorized selling agent, the consignor as owner, the machine condition, agreed charges, payment deadline, delivery and unloading responsibilities, and dispute terms.
Payment: bank wire to the verified Dedicated Client Trust Account. The transaction-specific invoice and agreement must state the exact due date, time zone and required reference; no universal payment deadline has been supplied.
Rigging and loading: identify who arranges and pays for preparation, dismantling, rigging, lifting, loading, unloading, permits and site access. State any collection/storage charges before acceptance.
Inspection: three business days after confirmed delivery, with the start time, deadline and issue-reporting channels in the agreement.
Disputes: identify contacts, notice deadlines, evidence requirements, escalation and handling of disputed funds before acceptance. The final process must be agreed in writing.

01
We confirm acceptance of your offer
Hickel Auction Service confirms acceptance of the price under its consignment authority. There is no automatic winner or automatic charge. Confirm your billing and delivery details next.
02
Review and sign the Equipment Purchase Agreement
The Equipment Purchase Agreement identifies the buyer, consignor, authorized selling agent and account holder in their separate roles. It records the machine, condition, price, delivery, account-handling terms, included guarantee and any separately purchased warranty.
03
Receive and verify the invoice
After the completed Equipment Purchase Agreement is signed, Hickel Auction Service issues the transaction invoice as authorized selling agent. The invoice identifies the consignor, selling agent and buyer, agreed charges, the Dedicated Client Trust Account beneficiary and required payment reference. Call our main office before initiating a wire.
04
Receive and inspect the equipment
You have three business days after confirmed delivery to inspect. Funds are handled under the signed account instructions during that period. The separate 30-day fault/not-as-described guarantee is administered by Hickel Auction Service and is limited to 100 additional operating hours after delivery.
05
Acceptance and settlement
Payment is held in a Dedicated Client Trust Account in California under the written account arrangement. After delivery, the buyer inspects and expressly accepts the equipment. The account holder then distributes the consignor's proceeds and Hickel Auction Service's agreed percentage commission according to the consignment agreement. Reported disputes follow the signed dispute process. Buyer silence does not itself authorize release.
Read the account-handling terms.

The description “Dedicated Client Trust Account” does not, by itself, verify the account’s legal trust status or establish particular protections. The account holder and handling terms must be supported by the final documentation before payment.
Guarantee and optional warranty from Hickel Auction Service.
Hickel Auction Service remains responsible for its stated guarantee, qualifying refund and return-transport commitments after settlement to the consignor.
Optional paid coverage — $1,500
Optional coverage lasts one year from sale or 1,000 additional operating hours (trucks: 10,000 additional miles), whichever comes first. The $1,500 fee is separate from the equipment price. Hickel Auction Service handles claims under the written coverage, exclusions and claim procedure.
30 days / up to 100 additional hours
For faulty or not-as-described equipment, Hickel Auction Service handles the full refund, including original delivery, and pays return transport. More than 100 added hours ends return eligibility; warranty coverage remains subject to its limits.
Report a problem to us.
Submit an equipment return report. For an eligible return, Hickel Auction Service owes the refund within three business days after report submission, and handles return transport. This deadline does not wait until the machine is returned.
If the inspection window is still open, follow the account notice process in your agreement as well. This page records reports in the operator’s queue; it does not automatically place a banking hold or send account instructions.
Your purchase-specific documents contain the verified bank instructions and written account authority. Sign your Equipment Purchase Agreement through your private purchase workspace before receiving the invoice. The website records confirmations and signatures; the account holder handles funds under the written arrangement.
