Optional paid coverage.

Included at no extra charge: 30-day money-back guarantee for faults or equipment not as described, limited to 100 additional operating hours after delivery. Full qualifying refund includes original delivery; we pay return transport. If you purchased the optional $1,500 plan, that fee is also refunded on an eligible return. Eligible refunds are due within three business days of return-report submission. Return report.

The 30 days is the period after delivery to report qualifying faults or equipment not as described, while use remains within 100 additional operating hours. Eligible refunds are due within three business days after return-report submission. The optional $1,500 plan below is a separate purchase; declining it does not remove the included guarantee. Its term is one year from sale or 1,000 additional operating hours (trucks: 10,000 additional miles), whichever comes first, under the coverage and exclusions below.

Optional paid limited coverage

Hickel Auction Service (the Company) offers this plan for $1,500 USD, payable at auction settlement only when affirmatively selected by the Buyer and included in the signed agreement and itemized invoice. No automatic enrollment. $0 deductible per approved claim. The included protection is the separate 30-day money-back guarantee, limited to 100 additional operating hours.

Duration and recorded meter

Coverage ends at the earlier of one year from the sale date or 1,000 additional operating hours from the sale meter reading. For commercial trucks, coverage ends at the earlier of one year from the sale date or 10,000 additional miles from the sale odometer reading. The issued coverage schedule records the sale date, starting meter reading, units, equipment identity and covered asset class. These are additional usage allowances, not absolute lifetime meter limits.

Tractors

Engine assemblies, fuel injection systems, turbochargers, transmission systems, differential locks, 4WD drop boxes, main hydraulic pumps, 3-point hitch cylinders, ECUs and climate-control compressors.

Combines and self-propelled machines

Hydrostatic drive pumps, rotor drive gearboxes, variable-speed pulleys, cleaning-fan gearboxes, unloading-auger drives, engine cooling packs, SCR/DEF emissions systems and boom-control valves.

Commercial trucks

Engine blocks and internals, transmissions, transfer cases, 4WD locking hubs, steering boxes, wheel bearings and powertrain control modules. Listed components must be fitted to the covered vehicle.

Disks and tillage equipment

Main-frame structural welds, wing-fold hinge joints, tongue hookups, hydraulic depth-control cylinders, transport axles and hub bearings.

Heavy-duty silage special balers

Main input gearboxes, PTO shafts, slip clutches, drive chains, sprockets, chamber-forming rollers, roller bearings and bale-density control valves.

Coverage scope

Listed mechanical, electrical and hydraulic component breakdowns caused by defects or structural failure under normal operating conditions, subject to the covered asset class. Equipment classes or components not listed require an express written coverage schedule; no unstated coverage is implied.

Ground- and crop-contact exclusions

Disk blades, coulters, sweeps, shanks, rasp bars, concaves, auger flighting, elevator chains, sieves, chopper knives, pickup tines, pickup bands and net-wrap/twine cutoff knives.

Wear and maintenance exclusions

Belts, rubber hoses, filters, fluids, lubricants, tires, rims, brake pads, rotors, dry-friction clutch discs, shocks, struts, batteries, glow plugs and pickup teeth. Normal wear, routine maintenance and consumables are excluded.

External damage and aftermarket exclusions

Foreign-object ingestion; accidents, collisions, fire, weather, neglect, improper storage and unapproved modifications. Aftermarket commercial truck bodies, service beds, flatbeds and dump hoists are excluded.

Notification and full claim package

Notify contact@oldtimers.help in writing within 72 hours of discovering a failure. Identify the invoice, equipment and date/time of discovery, describe the failure and keep a copy of the notice. The complete diagnostic/evidence package may follow after that timely notice; the 72-hour period does not require every diagnostic attachment to be complete. Coverage review opens when the full package is submitted together. A notice or receipt is not approval to repair or a coverage decision.

Required claim package

Original auction invoice proving payment of the $1,500 coverage fee; official signed diagnostic report from a certified independent agricultural/heavy-equipment technician, initially at Buyer expense; current hours or mileage; relevant fault codes; root-cause narrative; close-up failed-component photos; wide-angle machine/location photo; serial/VIN plate photo; meter photo; itemized independent parts-and-labor estimate; and physical-access confirmation. Submit documents together for coverage review. Labor is assessed using industry-standard flat-rate manuals.

Prior written authorization

Do not begin repairs or teardown before the Company issues a written Claim Authorization Number. Unauthorized teardown or repairs invalidate the affected claim, subject to non-waivable rights. A diagnosis or estimate is not approval to disassemble the machine.

Independent inspection

The Company may send its independent inspector before approving a claim. Buyer must provide physical access within four business days of a request. If the Company inspector report contradicts the Buyer technician report, the Company inspector report controls the Company coverage decision, subject to the signed dispute process and non-waivable rights.

Liability limits

Aggregate liability under the purchased plan is limited to the net equipment/hammer price, excluding taxes and auction fees. The plan excludes consequential, incidental, special and indirect losses, including downtime, field delays, crop loss, rental-machine costs, transport costs and lost profits, to the extent permitted by applicable law. These plan limits do not cancel the separate 30-day return/refund and return-transport commitments.

Fee refund and separate return guarantee

If an eligible return is made under the 30-day/100-additional-hour money-back guarantee, the purchased $1,500 coverage fee is also refunded. Other cancellation and refund rights are governed by the signed terms and applicable law.
